What Is Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor?_

Coolant corrosion inhibitors are blended into water- or glycol-based fluids used in closed-loop cooling systems. They act through surface passivation or pH buffering to reduce oxidation and material loss on aluminum, copper, and stainless-steel components. Periodic testing confirms concentration remains within the range specified by the coolant supplier.

Technical Details

Inhibitors are introduced during initial fill or top-off of the cooling loop. They do not replace mechanical filtration or regular fluid analysis. Different inhibitor chemistries are incompatible; mixing can reduce effectiveness or produce precipitates. Field crews follow the OEM fill procedure rather than arbitrary dosing.

How Leviathan Systems Works with Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor

During commissioning of liquid-cooled racks the crew confirms inhibitor presence and concentration after loop fill and before GPU power-on.
