Published resources
Leviathan Systems Public Content API
Retrieve Leviathan Systems' published company profile, physical service listings and educational articles. Access is public and read-only; credentials are not required.
Choose your integration
Use the REST API directly, connect an MCP client, or install a JavaScript/Python client or CLI from this website. These interfaces retrieve published information about Leviathan Systems; they do not provision infrastructure or change project records.
API reference
Retrieve the company profile, search published titles and read source documents through the public JSON API.
MCP server
Connect a remote MCP client over Streamable HTTP to three public, read-only tools.
JavaScript and Python SDKs
Download the official website-hosted clients, follow cursor pages and verify package integrity.
Command-line tool
Search the catalog and retrieve documents or the company profile from a terminal.
Start with version 1
Use GET or HEAD. The API directory links to the resource index and the complete OpenAPI specification.
curl https://www.leviathansystems.co/api/v1
curl 'https://www.leviathansystems.co/api/v1/resources?kind=article&limit=20'Browse or search the resource catalog
The catalog lists published article titles and the current physical service listings. Use kind=article or kind=service, a title query in q (up to 200 characters), and a limit from 1 to 50. The default page contains up to 20 records.
Responses include items, total, limit, has_more, next_cursor and a complete next URL. Follow next until it is null. A cursor belongs to its query and content revision; begin a new query if it expires after a publication update.
GET /api/v1/resources?kind=article&q=nvlink&limit=10
{
"apiVersion": "1",
"items": [{ "id": "article:…", "kind": "article", "title": "…", "canonical": "https://www.leviathansystems.co/articles/…" }],
"total": 1, "limit": 10, "has_more": false,
"next_cursor": null, "next": null
}The example illustrates the response shape. Live titles, counts and source dates come from the published content. A record includes markdown_url when a native Markdown representation is available.
Retrieve a document as JSON or Markdown
The existing document endpoints return Markdown by default. Request Accept: application/json for title, description, canonical, lastUpdated and the original markdown body. Article publication and revision dates stay with their source.
curl -H 'Accept: application/json' \
https://www.leviathansystems.co/api/machine/home
curl -H 'Accept: text/markdown' \
https://www.leviathansystems.co/api/content/guides/rack-and-stack/markdownDiscover full article representations from the catalog's markdown_url or the article index.
Versioning and errors
The JSON directory and resource index use /api/v1. Document endpoints also accept Leviathan-API-Version: 1 and identify that version in the response header. An unsupported header version returns 400. A future incompatible contract will use a new major version; additional fields and newly published content can appear within version 1.
Deprecation policy: version 1 has no deprecated endpoints and no scheduled sunset. When an endpoint is deprecated, its documentation and OpenAPI operation will be marked, and its responses will include a Deprecation header plus a link to the migration guidance. A scheduled removal will also carry a Sunset date. Read these signals before retrying an older integration.
JSON failures contain type, title, status, code, detail and instance. Explicit Accept: application/problem+json selects the Problem Details media type. Use the HTTP status and stable code to recover.
- 400: invalid query, cursor or version; correct the request.
- 404: endpoint or published representation unavailable; browse the resource catalog.
- 405: unsupported method; use GET or HEAD.
- 429: burst budget exhausted; wait for
Retry-After. - 503: resource catalog temporarily unavailable; retry later.
Official SDKs and command-line tool
Use the JavaScript and Python SDK documentation for direct package downloads, source code, cursor iteration and typed errors. The Leviathan Systems CLI lets scripts search and retrieve public resources without writing an integration. Read a catalog ID directly through GET /api/v1/resources/{id}.
Search through NLWeb
The public /ask endpoint implements the NLWeb 0.55 answer/failure format over the published catalog. It ranks matching title words and returns up to 10 canonical sources; it does not generate an answer or make a technical judgment. Send query.text in a JSON POST body, or use ?query=rack with GET. Request prefer.streaming: true or accept text/event-stream for finite start/result/complete events. No match produces a structured NO_RESULTS failure.
curl https://www.leviathansystems.co/ask -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"query":{"text":"rack integration"},"prefer":{"streaming":true}}'Connect an MCP client
Follow the Leviathan Systems MCP server guide for connection examples, protocol errors and recovery.
Discover co.leviathansystems/public-content in the official MCP Registry, or read its published connection metadata.
Add https://www.leviathansystems.co/mcp as a remote server using Streamable HTTP. Access is public and read-only. The server is stateless and returns JSON; it does not keep sessions or open a persistent event stream.
{
"mcpServers": {
"leviathan-public-content": {
"url": "https://www.leviathansystems.co/mcp"
}
}
}Client configuration formats differ. Use this endpoint in the client's remote MCP settings; no key or sign-in is required.
search_resources: search published titles, filter articles or services, and follow cursor pages.read_resource: retrieve a catalog ID as native Markdown, or receive the canonical HTML link when Markdown is unavailable.read_company_profile: retrieve company identity, service scope, exclusions and contact guidance.
The server also lists a company-profile resource and a first-page catalog resource. It reads the same versioned public sources as the website, with no arbitrary URL fetching, visitor records or changes to project data. HTTP POST carries protocol messages; the available tools only read published content.
See the experimental MCP server card for connection metadata; clients discover actual tools and resources through the live protocol. Server cards are an experimental extension. The server limits request bodies to 32 KiB and applies the same instance burst budget described below.
Read several documents in one batch
Send 1 to 20 repeated ids query parameters to GET /api/v1/resources/batch. Use IDs from the catalog. Results preserve input order, including duplicate IDs, and include native Markdown or the same canonical HTML recovery information as a single-resource read. The endpoint only retrieves published content; repeating a request changes no data.
curl --get https://www.leviathansystems.co/api/v1/resources/batch \
--data-urlencode 'ids=service:rack-and-stack' \
--data-urlencode 'ids=service:not-published'A valid batch returns HTTP 200 with apiVersion, count and items. Each item contains its id, status and either resource or error. A missing ID has status 404 and code RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND; a temporarily unavailable representation has status 503 and code CONTENT_UNAVAILABLE. Successful items remain available when another item fails. Correct only the failed IDs before retrying.
The request returns 400 INVALID_BATCH for malformed IDs, unsupported parameters or more than 20 IDs. A response larger than 1 MiB returns 413 BATCH_TOO_LARGE; split it into smaller batches. Each batch uses one request from the shared instance burst budget. No write operations, stored jobs or private records are available.
Read Markdown without an extra discovery request
Send Accept: text/markdown or add ?mode=agent on the homepage, agent profile and main services, articles, guides and glossary indexes. ChatGPT-User, Claude-User and Perplexity-User retrieval clients receive these existing public Markdown representations by default when accepting HTML or a wildcard. An explicit Markdown quality preference takes precedence. Use ?mode=html to request the HTML page. Browser navigation and React requests keep their normal representation. Client identification selects a format and grants no additional access.
Download the structured catalog
The Schema.org JSON Lines feed provides published article titles, original revision dates and service names in one download. Discover it through the Schema Map advertised in robots.txt. Use its ETag with If-None-Match to avoid downloading an unchanged feed. The feed follows the draft Schema Feeds format and adds no claims beyond the source pages.
Changes published October 21, 2026
Added a read-only MCP connection and dedicated connection guide, structured catalog feed, heading-first public access guidance and this deprecation policy. Also added official downloadable JavaScript/Python clients, a CLI, signed discovery metadata, bounded NLWeb title retrieval, batch document reads and Markdown defaults for named AI retrieval clients. Version 1 JSON and Markdown document formats remain available.
Request limits and project inquiries
Content handlers enforce a best-effort burst budget of 300 requests per 60 seconds per server instance. This is a shared instance budget, not an account quota or a deployment-wide guarantee. No visitor identifiers are stored for this counter. RateLimit, RateLimit-Policy and compatibility limit/remaining/reset headers describe the current instance budget; reset values are seconds until reset.
Retrieve documents sequentially and honor 429 responses. The content API describes published information. Use Contact to discuss project scope, availability and commercial terms with the team.
