Deploy & Relocate

Turn the released rack plan into an installed physical package.

Leviathan mounts equipment, completes the agreed IT cabling and labels, and records the physical installation. Use this service for a customer site or an authorized colocation space when the equipment and installation package need a defined execution team.

Discuss a Project

Resolve the installation inputs before the crew arrives

Equipment can be onsite while the build remains blocked by incompatible rails, unclear rack positions, missing cable schedules or incomplete access approval. A usable work package connects the actual devices to the rack layout, mounting instructions, handling method and receiving team.

This journey is for enterprise IT teams, integrators and colocation tenants installing or refreshing equipment. Identify the hardware, appointed supplier and delivery responsibilities before installation release. The installation scope identifies what is ready to fit, what is missing and who can authorize a change.

Define the rack, equipment and cable work

Rack-plan and parts review

Reconcile the equipment list, rack elevations, rail kits and mounting components against the approved physical installation package.

Equipment mounting

Install the agreed servers, storage and switches at released rack positions using the applicable instructions and authorized handling method.

IT cabling and dressing

Route, connect and dress the included physical IT cables to the approved endpoint schedule while preserving required service access.

Equipment and endpoint labels

Apply the agreed rack, asset and cable identifiers and record deviations from the supplied naming or port plan.

Physical checks and punch list

Perform the agreed installation checks and record missing items, accessible defects and work requiring another owner's decision.

Treat the colocation provider as a separate approval owner

For a colocation project, identify the tenant's authority, provider work rules, receiving process, permitted areas and access windows. Confirm which cabinets, pathways and demarcation points belong in the customer-side package. Provider cross-connect orders, facility work and permission to enter the site need their own owners.

Leviathan supplies the agreed installation service. Hosting, leased capacity and provider-controlled work remain with the facility and customer arrangements. Receiving an access badge or a shipment does not by itself release every task in the space.

Work from a released package to a recorded handoff

Reconcile the inputs

Check the layout, hardware, parts, cable plan, labels and unresolved installation decisions.

Confirm site readiness

Agree access, receiving, staging, handling and the permitted work window with the actual site owners.

Mount and connect

Carry out the approved equipment and IT cable work, with changes routed to the authorized decision owner.

Check and hand over

Reconcile positions and labels, record the physical checks and pass the remaining items to the accepting team.

Send the rack and site package

Provide equipment models and quantities, dimensions and weights, rack elevations, rail-kit details, cable and port schedules, label rules and required handoff formats. Include site or tenant authorization, provider work rules, receiving and staging arrangements, the desired window and approval contacts.

Identify missing parts and the owners of system configuration and facility prerequisites. Where existing-equipment power-cord connections are requested, the approved arrangement, OEM instructions, facility permission and appropriate personnel/resources are confirmed separately.

Hand over the installed state and the remaining work

Installed-equipment map

Link the included equipment identifiers to their actual rack positions and any authorized layout changes.

Cable and label record

Document the included endpoints, identifiers and physical routing information at the agreed level of detail.

Punch list and physical check record

Record performed checks, missing items, defects, restrictions and the party responsible for each remaining action.

Give the installation lead a task-specific review sheet

Agree what the installation lead records at release, at a change and at handoff. A single rack-level ready or complete checkbox hides differences between mounting, cabling, labeling and the next team's work.

Identify the work line and its current inputs

Name the rack, device or cable work line, the exact activity and the released drawing, schedule and instruction revisions that apply. Record which supplied parts and site permissions support that activity, with the source of each confirmation. A later file in an email does not silently replace the released package.

Name the unresolved decision before assigning work

For a missing kit, conflicting position or changed label, record the affected work line, decision owner and required response. Keep unaffected work separate only where the appointed site and technical owners confirm it can proceed independently. The review sheet does not establish safe sequencing, staffing or a handling method.

Separate a reported task from its check and acceptance

Record what was reported as performed, the agreed check, its evidence and any restriction. Identify who can accept the result. An installer's completed-task entry, a photograph and the accepting party's disposition are separate records; one does not automatically supply the others.

Carry open items into the next review

Retain the item identifier, current revision, owner and next action when the shift, contractor or work package changes. Show which earlier record is superseded and why. Leave unavailable or inaccessible evidence explicit instead of converting an unresolved item to a completed rack.

Make workmanship criteria inspectable

These are categories for a project-specific acceptance discussion, not a certification scheme or a replacement for manufacturer instructions and qualified site decisions.

Ask for a requirement, a way to check it and a named accepting party for each included result. A tidy photograph or a generic quality badge cannot establish that the supplied hardware, position, labels and service access meet the project requirements. Leviathan's existing offer is the agreed physical installation and its records; the project defines the applicable criteria.

Equipment and position

Reference the released equipment identity and rack elevation, applicable mounting instructions and the agreed installation check record. Record the actual position and any approved change. This page supplies no universal rail compatibility rule, load limit, fastener selection or tightening value.

Cabling, identification and service access

Reference the released endpoint and naming schedules plus the applicable equipment and site access requirements. Agree the observation or record required for each item. Where the requirement or installed identity is unresolved, identify the gap; appearance alone does not prove the connection, service clearance or test result.

Checks, evidence and exceptions

Specify the included check and the evidence returned, including its item identifier, scope and reviewer. If a formal test or specialist approval is needed, agree its responsible party and acceptance basis separately. Retain exceptions and the accepting party's decision; a general statement that the rack passed is too broad for an item that was not checked.

Read three findings without declaring the rack accepted

Fictional example EX-RACK19: a review sheet for rack R14 contains three requested comparisons. The example illustrates evidence limits; it is not an installation, test or acceptance record.

This fictional handoff contains one limited record match, one unresolved discrepancy and one missing evidence item. It contains no accepted rack and no completed corrective action. A later response must identify the exact item and requirement it resolves, with the applicable authorization and check evidence kept separate.

Position record: a limited match

Released elevation RP-6 identifies asset SRV-014 at position U20. Submitted record REC-1 names SRV-014 at U20. The two recorded values agree. That comparison alone does not establish the observed installed identity, suitable rails, mounting checks or technical acceptance.

Label record: a discrepancy remains

Label schedule LP-4 expects SRV-014, while the submitted image description IMG-2 reports a visible SRV-041 label. Record the conflicting strings and request disposition from the appointed label owner. Do not change the asset identity or instruct relabeling merely to make the records agree.

Access requirement: evidence not supplied

The package references access requirement AC-2, but the submitted bundle has no evidence addressing it. Record the missing check or view and its owner. An image of the front label cannot establish access at the rear or satisfy the referenced requirement.

Agree additional testing and configuration explicitly

Formal cable test reports require an agreed method, instruments, personnel and acceptance criteria. Hardware burn-in and QA can form a separate or combined stage. BIOS, firmware, IP addressing, OS imaging and software commissioning are not standard rack-installation inclusions; additional requests are assessed in the scope discussion.

Liquid-side work and facility electrical construction remain excluded. Handling, lifting, structural requirements and any specialist partners are reviewed for the equipment and site. No licensed engineering authority, provider affiliation or guaranteed deployment window is implied.

Project questions

Is rack-and-stack only for GPU hardware?

No. The service covers agreed enterprise servers, storage and networking equipment as well as GPU infrastructure. Device weight, rack compatibility and manufacturer instructions determine the installation method.

What supply information is needed before installation?

Confirm the equipment/material supplier, approved configuration, quantities, receiving arrangements and the owner of missing parts or substitutions. Reconcile those inputs with the released rack plan before installation begins.

Can you place a populated rack or use lifting equipment?

Handling and placement are reviewed against the site, load, safety requirements and permitted equipment. They are included only when expressly authorized in the project scope; heavy handling is not automatic.

Does mounting the equipment include powering and commissioning it?

No. Cord connections to existing approved equipment or rack PDUs may be considered as a separate, authorized scope. Electrical energization, software bring-up and full system commissioning are not part of the standard physical installation.

How are deviations handled during installation?

Missing or damaged parts and proposed position changes are recorded for the nominated customer approver. Equipment is not substituted and the plan is not changed without authorization; unresolved items remain in the handoff.

What should the installation lead review before a work line starts?

The identified activity, applicable released revisions, supplied parts, site permissions, agreed check and decision owners. Record missing inputs against the affected work line. A review-sheet entry does not supply a safe method, authorize restricted work or establish the competence and resources needed at the site.

What does a workmanship standard mean for our rack installation?

It means the agreed result is tied to an identifiable requirement, an appropriate check, returned evidence and an accepting party. Use the actual project and manufacturer requirements. A generic certification claim or a neat photograph cannot replace those criteria, and no certification is implied by this service description.

Can photographs be the entire installation acceptance package?

Only the appointed acceptance requirements determine the required evidence. A photograph can support the visible condition within its view; it does not by itself establish hidden mounting details, connection identity, test results or readiness for service. Record the evidence that is absent or outside the view.

How should a partially checked rack appear in the handoff?

Report the checked item and requirement, its result and evidence, then list the unchecked, inaccessible or disputed items separately with owners and next actions. Preserve the accepting party's disposition instead of marking the whole rack accepted because one record matches.
