What Is Cable Comb?_
Cables are threaded through the comb's teeth or openings so that each maintains a fixed position relative to its neighbors. This arrangement reduces crossing, supports consistent routing paths, and simplifies later identification or rework. The comb may stay in place after installation or be removed once the bundle is secured.
Technical Details
Combs are used on both copper twisted-pair and fiber trunk assemblies during rack cabling. They are placed at intervals along horizontal or vertical runs inside cabinets or cable trays. Spacing created by the comb helps maintain minimum bend radii and reduces localized pressure points where bundles are dressed or fastened.
How Leviathan Systems Works with Cable Comb
Field crews use cable combs when dressing scale-out InfiniBand or Ethernet fiber runs between GPU racks so that individual trunks remain traceable before final MPO or connector installation.
