What Is As-Built Documentation?_

As-Built Documentation serves as the authoritative record of how a data center installation was physically realized, including any deviations from the original design plans. It typically includes rack layouts, cable routing paths, power distribution, cooling loop schematics, and network topology as they exist on site. This documentation is essential for ongoing maintenance, future upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Technical Details

For GPU clusters, As-Built Documentation must detail every NVLink copper spine connection between GPUs within a rack, as well as all MPO fiber runs for scale-out InfiniBand or Ethernet networking. It also records the exact placement of liquid cooling manifolds, quick-disconnects, and leak detection sensors. The documentation should note any field modifications, such as rerouted cables or adjusted rack positions, that differ from the original engineering drawings. All entries must be verified against physical inspection and testing results before finalization.

How Leviathan Systems Works with As-Built Documentation

Leviathan Systems field crews generate As-Built Documentation after completing rack assembly, structured cabling, liquid cooling hookup, and GPU networking, then update it during commissioning as changes are made. Our teams rely on this documentation to validate that every H100 through GB300 NVL72 system matches the as-deployed state for customer handoff and future service.
