What Is Velcro Cable Wrap?_

Velcro cable wraps are adjustable straps that secure cables together without damaging the insulation, allowing for easy reconfiguration. They are commonly used in structured cabling to organize power, networking, and liquid cooling lines within a rack. Unlike zip ties, they can be undone and reused multiple times without cutting.

Technical Details

The wrap consists of a nylon or polyester strap with a hook side on one end and a loop side along the rest, providing a strong but adjustable hold. It is available in various widths and lengths, typically color-coded for identification (e.g., blue for network, red for power). The closure does not require tools and can be positioned at any point along the strap. It is rated for indoor use within ambient temperature ranges typical of data centers.

How Leviathan Systems Works with Velcro Cable Wrap

During rack assembly and cabling, our field crew uses Velcro wraps to bundle GPU-to-GPU NVLink copper cables and fiber trunks separately, ensuring airflow and serviceability. They are also applied to secure coolant hoses in liquid-cooled racks without crimping.
