What Is Rack Weight Distribution?_

In dense GPU platforms the heaviest elements are GPU trays, power shelves, and liquid-cooling manifolds. Their vertical and front-to-rear positioning determines the rack center of gravity and the load seen by each floor tile or raised-floor pedestal. Proper distribution avoids point loads that exceed the rated capacity of the data-center slab or the rack's leveling feet.

Technical Details

Racks are typically set on four adjustable feet or casters whose positions are fixed by the rack frame; weight must be kept inside the rectangle formed by those contact points. OEM rack specifications list maximum static and dynamic loads per U and per rail pair; installers verify compliance before adding liquid manifolds or cable bundles. When a rack is moved on casters the center of gravity must remain low enough that the assembly does not tip on inclines or during turns.

How Leviathan Systems Works with Rack Weight Distribution

During rack assembly the crew stages GPU trays and power shelves from the bottom up so the rack remains stable while still on its shipping pallet and after it is rolled into final position.
