What Is Overhead Fiber Runner?_
It keeps fiber runs organized and separate from rack-level copper connections while providing access points for drops to equipment. The system supports scale-out networking links that connect GPU clusters to external switches. Installation occurs after rack placement but before final commissioning.
Technical Details
Runners are commonly ladder or wire-basket style and attach to ceiling supports or rack tops. Fiber trunks with MPO connectors route through these pathways and terminate at transceiver ports. Pathways must preserve bend radius and avoid contact with power cables or liquid cooling lines. No torque is applied to the push-pull connectors used on these fibers.
How Leviathan Systems Works with Overhead Fiber Runner
Field crews route scale-out InfiniBand or Ethernet fiber through overhead runners during structured cabling of GPU cluster deployments. They coordinate drop locations with rack rows while keeping intra-rack NVLink copper separate.
