What Is Cold Plate Fouling?_
The deposits increase thermal resistance between the GPU die and the coolant, raising device temperatures under load. Fouling occurs when coolant chemistry drifts outside the OEM-specified pH and dissolved-solids limits or when system filtration is inadequate. Over time the reduced flow cross-section can also elevate pressure drop across the plate.
Technical Details
Deposits can affect the heat-transfer surface and fluid path. Their cause and significance depend on the materials, fluid and operating conditions. Appearance or one pressure reading cannot prove the internal condition of every cold plate. Diagnosis and any cleaning or replacement remain with the applicable OEM and qualified cooling parties; no remediation recipe is provided.
How Leviathan Systems Works with Cold Plate Fouling
The customer and OEM appoint qualified parties for the applicable cooling-system work and its acceptance. Leviathan does not install, connect, test, commission or maintain liquid systems. Any separately agreed physical IT installation or cabling work retains its own authorized scope and handoff.
