What Is Cable Certification Tester?_
It measures parameters such as insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk, and wiremap on copper pairs and optical loss or reflectance on fiber strands. The instrument stores pass/fail results together with link identification data for traceability. Certification occurs after termination and before the cabling is placed into service.
Technical Details
Copper tests are performed from both ends of the permanent link or channel using a main and remote unit. Fiber tests use either a light source and power meter pair or an integrated OLTS for duplex and MPO-terminated trunks. Results reference the relevant cabling category or class limits without specifying exact numerical thresholds. Stored records include test date, operator ID, and instrument calibration status.
How Leviathan Systems Works with Cable Certification Tester
Field crews run certification on structured copper and MPO fiber assemblies after rack installation and before GPU networking bring-up. Reports are reviewed as part of commissioning documentation for H100-class deployments.
