What Is Power Feed A/B Diversity?_
Each path is sized to carry the full load so that failure of one source, cable, or breaker leaves the equipment running on the remaining path. The two feeds normally terminate on separate PDUs or power shelves inside the rack and are monitored independently. No automatic transfer switch is required at the rack when both feeds remain live under normal conditions.
Technical Details
A-side and B-side conductors follow physically separate routes from the upstream distribution boards. Each feed connects to its own set of branch-circuit breakers whose status is reported to the DCIM system. During commissioning, phase rotation, voltage, and polarity are verified on both feeds before any load is applied.
How Leviathan Systems Works with Power Feed A/B Diversity
Field crews confirm A/B diversity at each rack by tracing the two power whip sets back to distinct PDUs and recording breaker IDs before GPU systems are powered on.
