What Is Punch List?_

In commissioning, a punch list captures specific tasks, repairs, or adjustments identified during final inspections that do not meet the project's acceptance criteria. It serves as a formal record of outstanding work, typically compiled by the commissioning team and reviewed with the installation crew. Each item is tracked to closure, and the list is signed off only after all issues are resolved.

Technical Details

Punch list items in a GPU data center may include loose cable ties, incorrect fiber polarity, or unsealed liquid cooling quick-disconnects. Each item is documented with a location (rack row, U-position), a description, and a priority level. The list is often managed in a digital tracking system, with photos and test results attached for verification. Resolution requires re-inspection by the commissioning engineer before sign-off.

How Leviathan Systems Works with Punch List

During Leviathan Systems commissioning, the field crew uses a punch list to track issues found after initial power-on and network bring-up, such as a GPU not reporting via NVLink or a coolant loop with a slow drip. The list is reviewed daily in the morning huddle and must be cleared before the rack is handed over to the customer's operations team.
