Arista Network Infrastructure Deployment_
Arista provides the high-speed network switching infrastructure that connects GPU nodes into a functioning compute cluster. In every GPU deployment, the network fabric is what turns individual servers into a unified training or inference system. Leviathan installs, cables, and tests Arista switching infrastructure as part of our end-to-end GPU deployment scope.
We do not sell Arista hardware. We deploy it.
Why Arista in GPU Infrastructure_
GPU clusters depend on two network layers: a scale-up network (NVLink within a rack or domain) and a scale-out network (Ethernet or InfiniBand between racks). Arista builds the high-speed Ethernet switches that form the leaf/spine fabric for the scale-out network in many large GPU deployments.
The network fabric is not secondary infrastructure in a GPU cluster — it is a performance-critical component. A single miscabled switch uplink, a fiber connector with marginal insertion loss, or an improperly tested link can degrade training performance across hundreds of GPU nodes. The network is compute performance.
What We Deploy_
Leaf Switches
Top-of-rack or end-of-row switches that connect directly to GPU servers. Each leaf switch handles high-speed connections from multiple GPU nodes. Leviathan racks, cables, and tests every leaf switch connection.
Spine Switches
Aggregation switches that connect leaf switches into a full fabric. Spine switches handle east-west traffic between GPU nodes in different racks. Correct cabling between leaf and spine layers is essential for balanced fabric performance.
Fabric Cabling
The connections between Arista switches and GPU servers use a mix of fiber (OM4/OM5 multimode, OS2 single-mode), DAC (Direct Attach Copper), AOC (Active Optical Cable), and AEC (Active Electrical Cable) depending on distance, speed, and topology requirements. Leviathan installs all interconnect types and selects the appropriate cable type based on the deployment's switching architecture.
MPO/MTP Trunking
High-density GPU deployments with Arista switching often use MPO/MTP trunk cables to consolidate fiber connections between switch locations. These pre-terminated, factory-tested trunk cables reduce installation time and connection points. Leviathan designs and installs MPO/MTP trunking as part of the structured cabling scope.
Our Arista Deployment Scope_
Switch Installation
Arista switches racked and secured per the network topology. Management connections configured. Power verified.
Structured Cabling
All connections between Arista switches and GPU servers — fiber, DAC, AOC, AEC. Cable pathways designed for density, serviceability, and airflow. Every cable labeled at both ends with standardized naming conventions. TIA-942 and BICSI compliant.
Network Testing
Every fiber connection tested via OTDR with insertion loss and return loss measurements. Every copper link certified. Results documented per connection. This is the same testing rigor we apply to GPU-side connections — because the network fabric is just as critical.
Documentation
Port-to-port cable maps showing the complete fabric topology. Test results for every connection. Rack elevation drawings. Delivered as part of the project handoff package.
Cross-Vendor Integration_
Arista switching infrastructure connects to NVIDIA GPU servers built on Dell or Supermicro platforms. The physical layer — where fiber meets switch port, where DAC connects server NIC to leaf switch — is where vendor ecosystems intersect. Leviathan deploys all four vendors' hardware, which means we understand the full physical topology, not just isolated components.
A deployment with Arista switches, Dell servers, and NVIDIA GPUs requires a team that understands all three. Leviathan is that team.
